Before Thunder Began

Far beyond the canyons

As strong as the mountains

Deeper than the caverns

An ancient voice echoes

Sunset reflects across the pond

Eyes all aglow in the firelight

Truth flickers in the shadows

Revealing a hidden wound

Waterfalls murmur of the known,

Of the unknown

And of Freedom longing for itself

Since before thunder began
